How Healthy Is Your Diet?🤔
Is your diet an illness fighting, immune system strengthener?
Yea, I know a weird question to ask.🤷🏾♀️
Nonetheless, the best way to stay healthy during this time of year is to make sure your diet consists of the best foods that fight illnesses.🍏🍊🍋🍉🍌🍇🥕🥦🥒🍅
It all begins with your diet.
Ever heard of the following saying?
Food is thy medicine.
This literally means that the foods you eat can heal your body.
This is so true as the different healthy organic foods that you eat are full of antioxidants, probiotics, prebiotics, calcium, potassium, magnesium, and the list goes on and on.
If your diet is missing these key nutrients, then getting sick (even if it is a cough) is inevitable.
Again, the best way to prevent any of this from happening is to make sure that you are flooding your body with wholesome nutrition.
Get rid of those processed foods and instead bring in more immune-fighting fruits and vegetables into your diet. 🍏🍎🍐🍊🥦🥒🍑🍇🥕🥝
Best Organic Foods To Strengthen💪🏾 Your Immune System
Did you know that eating certain foods raw like fruits and most vegetables, you can increase the number of enzymes, vitamins, antioxidants, amino acids, and minerals your body absorbs?
The fresher the food the more nutrients you receive.
Organic produce, dairy, 🥚🥛🧀and meats🥩🍖🍗 are grown/raised without pesticides, GMOs, steroids, artificial ingredients, fed grain, etc.
By eating products without any of these harmful ingredients in them, your body will not have to use energy⚡️ to get rid of that stuff.
Instead, it can focus on gathering the nutrients that it needs to strengthen and ward off any harmful bacteria and viruses.
Some of the best food items that you can start to incorporate into your diet alongside fruits and vegetables is grass-fed beef, 🥩cage-free eggs,🥚 almond milk🥛 or any other nut milk that does not have a ton of sugar, or artificial ingredients in them (read the back of the milk carton), chia seeds, and flax seeds.
Both chia seeds and flax seeds are filled with antioxidants along with Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids, manganese, thiamine, copper, zinc, and many more vitamins and minerals.
These little seeds pack a HUGE punch of virus fight benefits!
You can easily add these little seeds to your salad,🥗 trail mix, and smoothies.
I add mine to my daily smoothies.
Get your hands on these little seeds HERE. (link to amazon flax seeds and chia seed mixture)
Best Herbs,🌿 Spices, and Vitamins To Keep Your Body Strong 💪🏾
Fresh produce is high in antioxidants, including beta-carotene, vitamin C, and vitamin E.
Beta-carotene is the pigmentation like red, blue, orange, green, purple, and yellow, of fruits and vegetables.
We all know that oranges 🍊 are high in vitamin C, but did you know that there are other fruits and vegetables that have a higher content of vitamin C in them?
Some of these fruits and vegetables include:
- Chili peppers
- Bell peppers
- Brussels sprouts
- Kiwi 🥝
- Broccoli 🥦
- Strawberries 🍓
- Collard greens🥬
- Tomatoes 🍅
- Watermelon 🍉
- Peaches 🍑
- Pumpkin 🎃
- Carrots 🥕
- Corn 🌽
- Sweet potatoes 🍠

If you can try, to incorporate as many of these fruits and vegetables into your diet as they can really help to boost your immune system and keep you healthy during this time of year.
The next best alternative if you are not able to get access to these awesome fruits and vegetables is to get yourself a multivitamin.💊
One of the best multivitamins is Yuve’s Liquid Multivitamin.
It consists of vitamins A, B, C, D3, E, Zinc, Biotin, Opti MSM, Minerals and Amino Acid Complex (BCAA).
This multivitamin uses all-natural, organic ingredients.🌿
It is non-GMO, has no sugar in it and is gluten-free.
For adults, you only have to take 1oz or 2 tablespoons in the A.M.
Kids can take this multivitamin as well.
They would take half the dose of an adult’s which is 1 tablespoon.
If you still feel like you need an extra boost of vitamin C, I recommend adding
‘Nature’s Bounty 1000mg Vitamin C’ to your morning routine. ☀️
If you like gummies, you can get Zhou Vitamin C+ Maximum Strength.
These gummies are vegan too!

How Are Your Vitamin D☀️ Levels?
Vitamin D is super important if you plan on staying healthy during this flu season.
Many multivitamins do not give us enough vitamin D.
The best alternative to make sure you get in the proper amount your body needs is to eat foods rich in vitamin D.
There are foods out there that have vitamin D in it.
These foods include:
- Fatty fish,🐟🐠 like tuna, mackerel, and salmon
- Dairy products🥛
- Orange juice🍊🥤
- Soy milk
- Some cereals like Frosted Flakes and Cocoa Krispies
- Beef liver
- Egg yolks🥚
Fish🐟 is still one of the best ways to get a good dose of vitamin D.
In 3oz of cooked salmon, you will be getting more than 450 international units (IU) of vitamin D.
If you are not able to eat any of these foods, the next best way to increase your vitamin D levels is to get a supplement.
Yuve has a Vitamin D spray. ☀️
This spray is vegan and it gives you 800IU with each serving size, which is 2 sprays.
It is recommended to get at least 400-800IU a day.
This spray gives you the proper amount.
If you do not like a spray, but want to take vitamin D in a capsule form, I recommend getting Nature’s Bounty Vitamin D softgels.
Bring Some Garlic Into Your Life
I LOVE GARLIC!! ❤️
It is one of my favorite ingredients to cook with.
It gives my dishes that added touch of awesomeness.
Garlic is a natural immune enhancer that increases the production of your illness killer cells.
Those cells help to fight off and get rid of viruses, toxins, and harmful bacteria that may enter your body.
You can add garlic to any dish to not only give your dishes an added touch of savoriness, but it also gives you those added illness fighting benefits.
Add some garlic to your next homemade soup 🍲 or even to your salad. 🥗
There are a ton of different benefits that garlic can give you and you can check those benefits along with a sweet salad recipe out HERE.
All of these ingredients mentioned above (vitamin D, garlic, vitamin E, etc) are all great immune system vitamins that it needs to continue fighting off viruses and keeping you healthy during this cold season.❄️

Apple cider vinegar is great for alkalizing your body as well as getting rid of any sinus or throat ailments.
You can easily make a quick apple cider vinegar and lemon juice drink that not only helps to strengthen your immune system, but it can also help to detoxify your body as well.
All you do is add 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar (with the mother) into a cup with 2 tablespoons of lemon juice (or half a lemon)
Add about 1/2 cup of water mix it and drink up!
I drink this first thing in the morning☀️ and right before I go to bed🌙🛏 to give my body added illness fighting benefits!
You can also add a little bit of cayenne powder, ground ginger, and turmeric to this drink as well.
If you do, make sure you drink it through a straw so that your teeth😬 will not get stained by the turmeric or be damaged by the apple cider vinegar.

If spicy drinks or foods do not bother you, then this quick tonic could do a world of wonders for your immune system.
