Eating right and having healthy habits is the key 🔑to living a healthier life.
If you focus on this each day, it then becomes a part of your routine and no extra effort is needed.
There are so many benefits to having healthy habits.
Healthy habits go beyond just eating better.🥗
They also help with your emotional well being too.
For starters, you get a sense of purpose and your overall well being is positive.💆🏾
When you are positive, you are then able to spread that positivity to others and help them to be positive.
I hope you see where I am going with this.
If you are strong mentally then you can tackle anything that life throws at you.
Listed below are some healthy habits you can begin to incorporate into your life starting today.

1. Make Your Bed🛏️ Every Morning☀️
The first healthy habit I want to discuss is making your bed🛏️ first thing when you wake up.☀️
By doing this right when you get up, you are starting your day off on the right foot.
Making your bed in the morning is the first task you complete and can give you a sense of pride. ✊🏾
This then helps you to continue to accomplish other tasks throughout the day.
It is all a mental thing.🧠
If you are not used to this, it may be weird at first, but give it a try for at least 4 weeks and see what happens.

2. Have A Good Eating Schedule📅
The next healthy habit is getting on a good eating schedule.
When your belly is happy your whole body is happy.😊
If you are not eating then you are starving not only your body but your mind🧠 as well.
Keep in mind that if you are trying to lose weight, when you starve yourself you are actually hindering yourself from doing just that.
Instead, when you do finally begin eating regularly again, your body will hold on to everything that it gets and stores it away as fat.
How much you should be eating all depends on your lifestyle.
Just so you know…
An athletic lifestyle needs extra nutrition to support the muscles while a sedentary lifestyle can function with fewer calories.
It is also a good idea to make sure that the meals you make are balanced.
If you have no idea where to start, an image of a good diet consists of (again this all depends on how active you are), 45% carbohydrates, 30% protein, and 35% fats.
Test drive your diet and try to match it up to your lifestyle.
What works for someone else may not work for you so test drive the diet you are looking to have and listen to your body.
3. Try To Journal📖 Every Day
Journaling is an amazing thing you can do each day.
It allows you to write down✍🏾️ EVERYTHING that may be hindering you that day.
It could be a co-worker or not achieving a goal.
By mind dumping everything that is bothering you can help you get rid of that negativity and move past it.
I enjoy journaling n✍🏾️since it allows me to write down anything and everything that is boiling up inside so that I can get it off my chest.
I usually don’t reread what I write so that I don’t bring back those negative feelings
My journals📖 are like my chest of thoughts that I can access at any time.
As I continue to work through something that is making me struggle, I can look back at my progress whenever I need to.
I say give this a try!
You don’t even have to date the entry or say ‘Dear so and so’.
This is for you and for your own growth.
If you want to share it with other people then do it, but journaling is a safe place for you to release anything that may be bringing negativity into your life.👎🏾
You will be amazed at what you uncover.
4. Include More Greens Into Your Diet
Fruits and vegetables are rich in vitamins and minerals (which you already know) and keep you full longer.
This reduces your cravings for sugar and fatty foods.
Increasing your green intake, will not only give you those added benefits but can also help you maintain and lose weight too.
Here are some ideas for you to try to incorporate more greens into your diet.
- Make a Green Smoothie –->If you don’t have time to eat a salad🥗 make a smoothie and add as many greens as you can in it. My favorite smoothie combo is a small handful of strawberries,🍓half of a banana,🍌 half a Mango, a TON of spinach, 1 scoop of Yuve Vanilla Bean vegan protein powder with coconut water.🥥💦 It is so good!!
- Superfood Powder Drink–-> Find a superfood powder that tastes good with just water (in case you don’t have time to make a smoothie). All you do is take 1 scoop of the superfood powder, add it with some water or coconut water 🥥💦 and a hint of almond milk🥛 (optional), shake and go!

5. Stay Hydrated💦
Set a reminder on your phone📱at intervals to remind you to drink some water.
Water aids in digestion and improves your metabolism.
It is also the best way to cleanse the body of toxins and waste products. 💦
To keep me motivated to drink water, I grab a water bottle that has an inspirational quote on it (yes I need that kind of motivation sometimes) and has a daily tracker on it.
This can help me stay on track and get in the necessary amounts of water my body needs each day.
Also, it’s so fun to use so why not!💁🏾♀️
To Wrap Things Up…
These are just some of the many different healthy habits you should try to incorporate into your life.
Eating right and exercising regularly increases the immunity and endurance of your body, but you have to also make sure you are taking care of your mind🧠 and your emotional well being.
Again, journaling is one of the best ways to help you pinpoint those main obstacles that may be standing in your way without you realizing it.
But when you start to write on paper📝 the feelings you get when you think about a certain situation or a certain person, you can release all of that tension and all of that negativity onto that page in your journal.📖
You can then go about your day feeling fresh and renewed.
Try to enhance your daily routine by sprinkling in some of these healthy habits and see the change you get both mentally and physically.
